About Us

Diaspora Narrative Initiative (DNI e.V) is a non- profit organization with the main goal of fostering engagements amongst diaspora Africans to connect with their homelands and create a lasting Impact.

We are also active in our commitment to supporting African migrants in Germany. As a support system for the African diaspora living in Germany, DNI works to strengthen the voices and experiences of our community as well as equip them with the tools and knowledge needed to thrive in Germany. We provide assistance to all people of African origin regardless of religious or political ties, ethnicity, gender or sexual orientation.

Our work aligns with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We use these goals to guide everything we do, both in Germany and in our development projects in Africa (Nigeria). This means we focus on sustainability in all aspects of our work, aiming to make a positive impact locally and globally. Each team member and Volunteer contributing their respective strengths and knowledge.

Mission

Our mission is to foster connections between African communities in diaspora and provide a platform and safe space for Africans in diaspora to network and connect with their home countries for sustainable impact and development.

PROMOTING INTERCULTURAL UNDERSTANDING

Encouraging respect, appreciation, and cooperation among people from different cultures through intercultural understanding. It’s about building connections, learning from each other, and creating a community where everyone feels valued, no matter where they come from.

EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT

Knowledge sharing is crucial for socio-economic growth and should be at the center of any Agenda because it is beneficial to growth and effectiveness. Through educational support, we aim to open up learning innovations and address challenges together.

DEVELOPMENT COOPERATION PROJECTS

We look to partner with organizations to co-implement projects towards development. We thrive together to make a difference.

COUNSELING AND SOCIAL SUPPORT

Through mentoring, counseling, empowerment, participation, we can promote social Support. Establish contacts between people and promote mutual understanding.
